Late at night, just before bed, is a time of reflection for me. I don't practice any kind of formal mindfulness routine, but I do try to think about the actions I've taken recently, and what effect those have had.
I also try to think about how my life has changed over the years and what kind of direction I want it to go in, in the short-mid term.
I think taking some time for yourself to evaluate your situation can help a lot with your overall mental health. I find that if I avoid this I get stressed much more easily in everyday situations.
Tonight I'm reminding myself to enjoy the journey, and embrace every step that's lead up to this point. I haven't had much success in life, but I've learnt a lot, and I'm better for every decision I've made.
